Refund & Cancellation Policy
How refunds and cancellations work on Master Jobs — eligibility windows, processing times, and how to request one.

Plain-English summary
Cancel any subscription any time — your access continues until the end of the billing period. Full refund within 7 days of a new subscription. Per-transaction credits (contact unlocks, BGV passes, Boost packs) are refundable while unused, non-refundable once consumed. We process approved refunds back to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.
1.Overview
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all paid products on Master Jobs (the "Services") operated by East-West Business Solutions. It supplements the Terms of Service; in case of conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
Three categories of paid products are sold on the platform:
- Subscriptions — recurring monthly or annual plans such as Prime (candidate) and Pro / Employer Premium tiers.
- Per-transaction credits — one-time purchases such as contact unlocks, Boost packs, BGV passes, and feature add-ons.
- Custom B2B engagements — enterprise contracts and government / PSU contracts governed by a signed Master Services Agreement (MSA).
2.Subscriptions
2.1 Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel an active subscription at any time from Billing settings. On cancellation:
- Access to paid features continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- Auto-renewal is stopped — you will not be charged again.
- Your account is moved to the free tier at the period end. You can resubscribe any time.
2.2 Refund window
- Within 7 days of a first-time subscription: full refund, no questions asked, provided you have not consumed high-value usage limits (see §2.3).
- After 7 days of a first-time subscription: the monthly billing period is non-refundable. Cancel to stop auto-renewal; access continues to period end.
- Annual subscriptions: within 7 days of payment, full refund. From day 8 onwards, refund is pro-rated against months elapsed, minus any month in which you exceeded the free tier's monthly usage cap.
- Renewals: by default, renewals are non-refundable. We send a renewal-reminder email at least 7 days before each renewal so you have time to cancel.
2.3 Heavy-usage exclusion
To keep refunds equitable, the 7-day full refund does not apply if during the trial week you have already consumed:
- More than 25% of the monthly contact-unlock allowance.
- More than 25% of the monthly job-post allowance.
- More than 25% of the monthly Boost / outreach allowance.
In such cases, a pro-rata refund of the unused portion is offered instead of a full refund.
3.Per-transaction credits
Per-transaction credits include contact unlocks, Boost packs, BGV (background verification) passes, AI mock-interview sessions, apprenticeship-registration passes, and similar one-time purchases.
- Unconsumed credits — full refund if you request within 7 days of purchase and the credit has not been used.
- Consumed credits — non-refundable. A contact unlock is consumed at the moment we reveal contact details; subsequent inability or unwillingness to reach the candidate is not a basis for refund.
- Faulty delivery — if a credit was charged but the product was never rendered (e.g. a BGV report failed to generate), we issue a full refund or a one-for-one replacement credit at your choice.
- Expiry — credits expire 12 months from purchase unless otherwise stated at checkout. Expired credits are not refundable.
4.Custom B2B engagements
Refund, cancellation, and termination for enterprise and government / PSU contracts are governed by the signed Master Services Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW). Where the MSA is silent, this policy applies as a default.
5.How to request a refund
Email hello@masterjobs.com with the subject line [Refund] and the following:
- The email or mobile number on your Master Jobs account.
- The order reference, invoice number, or last 4 of the card.
- The product and the reason for the request.
We acknowledge every refund request within 1 business day and respond with an approval or a follow-up question within 5 business days.
6.Processing time and method
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method (the card, UPI VPA, or bank account that paid for the order). We do not refund to a different account.
- Card / Net banking: 7–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, subject to your bank.
- UPI: typically 1–3 business days.
- Wallet: typically 1–3 business days.
- If a refund has not appeared within the timelines above, email us with the order reference and we will investigate with the payment gateway.
7.When refunds are not available
The following are not eligible for refund:
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms of Service (fraud, harassment, fake postings, scraping, bot abuse).
- Chargebacks raised before contacting us — we work refunds cooperatively; an unprovoked chargeback closes the account and waives the refund.
- Consumed per-transaction credits (see §3).
- Expired per-transaction credits.
- Subscription periods after the 7-day window, except where required by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
- Government / PSU contract milestones invoiced under a signed SOW, except as the MSA permits.
8.Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, email us first at hello@masterjobs.com. Most disputes are resolved within 5 business days without involving the payment network. Filing a chargeback before contacting us makes resolution slower and may suspend your account pending investigation.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. Material changes are announced by in-product notice and on this page at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
