How do I create a Master Jobs account?

Visit /auth/signup. Pick “Job Seeker”, enter a mobile number or email, and we’ll send a 6-digit one-time code. After verifying the code, set your name — your account is live.

No password to remember; every sign-in is a fresh OTP.

Is signing up free?

Yes. Account creation, profile building, browsing jobs, applying, saving searches, and most candidate features are free forever. Optional paid add-ons exist (Priority Apply, Resume Display, Contact Recruiter) — see /addons. You never have to pay to apply for a job.

How do I improve my profile completeness?

Open /profile — the dashboard shows a percentage and highlights what's missing. Profiles above 75% complete get materially more recruiter views and recommendation matches.

Where do I see my applications?

/my/applications shows every job you've applied to + the latest status the employer set (under review / shortlisted / interviewed / offered / not selected). Status changes also fire notifications.

How do recruiters find me?

Recruiters search the candidate database by skills, role, location, experience, and other structured filters. Your profile is visible to verified employers if you've enabled that consent at /settings/consent — the "Profile visibility to recruiters" toggle. You can disable it anytime.

Can I delete my account or download my data?

Yes — /settings/privacy has self-serve buttons for data export (machine-readable JSON/CSV archive of everything we hold) and account deletion. Both honour DPDPA timelines (30 days max). Export delivery + deletion confirmation email goes to the registered contact.

I'm not getting OTPs — what should I do?
  • Wait 30 seconds and use the "Resend code" button.
  • Try the other channel (SMS ↔ email) on the signup page.
  • Check spam / promotions folder for the email variant.
  • If the issue persists, email support@masterjobs.com with your phone or email — we'll investigate.

Posting jobs, KYC, candidate search, billing, plans.

How do I sign up as an employer?

Visit /auth/signup?role=employer. Verify by mobile or email OTP, set your company name. Before you can publish your first job, complete entity KYC — see /kyc.

Why is KYC required?

Two reasons: candidate safety from fake postings + scams; and our obligations under DPDPA 2023, IT Rules 2021, GST law, and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020. Most submissions are reviewed within 1 business day. Full procedure at /kyc.

What does it cost to post a job?

Free tier covers 1 active posting with 30-day visibility — fine for occasional hiring. Paid tiers (Master Pro) unlock multiple parallel postings, candidate-database search, branding, ATS integration. See /pricing for current plans.

Can I post multiple jobs in draft before paying?

Yes. Drafts cost nothing and stay drafts indefinitely. Publication (making a job visible to candidates) consumes one of your tier's active-posting slots and requires KYC approval.

How do I search candidates directly?

Master Pro tiers include access to the candidate database. Visit /recruiter/search after upgrading. Each contact unlock consumes a credit from your monthly allowance.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Cancel anytime from /recruiter/billing. Access continues to the end of your billing period. Refund eligibility is per the refund policy — full refund within 7 days of first subscription, otherwise pro-rated for unused time.

Who operates Master Jobs?

Master Jobs is the flagship Jobs vertical of East-West Business Solutions Pvt Ltd, an Indian-registered company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The same legal entity operates other East-West Group platforms as they launch — see /about.

Which countries and languages does Master Jobs cover?

India (primary), United States, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar. Languages: English, Hindi, Arabic, French, Spanish. Salary bands, location formats, work-mode conventions, and compliance rights adapt per region — no hardcoded countries or currencies in the product.

How does the AI matching work?

Match scores are computed from your declared skills, experience, role + location preferences, and the job requirements — never from protected characteristics (race, gender, age, disability, religion, national origin). Every match score ships with the factors that produced it. Final hiring decisions always involve a human recruiter; the AI never auto-rejects or auto-hires. Full constitution at /privacy §10.

What's the relationship between Master Jobs and Rozi-Roti?

Master Jobs is the active flagship Jobs vertical at masterjobs.com. Rozi-Roti is reserved as a future Bharat-vernacular sub-brand at roziroti.com — same backend, same identity, same partner network, but a brand expression tuned for Tier-2/3 / Hindi-belt / vernacular audiences when it activates. Until then, roziroti.com shows a coming-soon page. Architecturally documented in BRAND_ARCHITECTURE.md.

Is Master Jobs accessible (WCAG / screen readers)?

We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the platform. Honest assessment of where we conform + known gaps + how to report issues at /accessibility. Report problems to accessibility@masterjobs.com.

How is my data protected?
  • TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields.
  • Principle of least privilege for internal access; every privileged action is audit-logged.
  • Brute-force, rate-limit, and anomaly detection on auth.
  • Compliant with DPDPA (India), GDPR (EU), CCPA (US), PIPEDA (Canada), PDPL (Gulf).

How do I report a security vulnerability?

Coordinated disclosure with credit. Email security@masterjobs.com with reproduction steps. We acknowledge within 1 business day, fix-or-mitigate timelines per severity. Please don't test against live data; use throwaway accounts.

I want to become a partner / open a franchise — how?

Refunds + Billing

Subscription cancellations, refund windows, processing times, billing disputes.

When am I eligible for a full refund?

Within 7 days of a first-time paid subscription, no questions asked, provided you haven't consumed more than 25% of the monthly usage limits during the trial week. Annual subscriptions also qualify in the first 7 days. After that window, refunds are pro-rata for unused months. Renewals are non-refundable — we email a renewal reminder 7 days before. How long does a refund take?
  • UPI / wallet: 1–3 business days.
  • Card / net banking: 7–10 business days, subject to your bank.
  • Refunded to the original payment method only — we don't refund to a different account.
Are per-transaction credits (contact unlocks, BGV passes, Boost packs) refundable?
  • Unconsumed: full refund within 7 days of purchase.
  • Consumed: non-refundable. A contact unlock is consumed at the moment we reveal the contact details.
  • Faulty delivery: full refund or replacement credit at your choice.
  • Expiry: 12 months from purchase unless stated otherwise; expired credits are not refundable.
How do I request a refund?

Email billing@masterjobs.com with subject [Refund] and include the email or mobile number on your account, the order reference (or last-4 of the card), and the reason. We acknowledge within 1 business day and respond within 5.

What if a charge looks wrong?

Email us first at billing@masterjobs.com. Most disputes resolve in 5 business days without involving the payment network. Filing a chargeback before contacting us slows resolution and may suspend the account during investigation.
